Who Makes Root Cellar Run: Jackie Jones July 10, 2018

On a typical day at the Root Cellar Foods warehouse, Jackie Jones can be found washing greens, processing vegetables, packaging the finished product, and delivering the goods, all with a smile and a chuckle. Jackie, while extremely hardworking is also a light hearted employee, one that brightens up the day with a joke or a sarcastic quip. She admits that is a self proclaimed idealist in a passive way, and even as a jokester, she can be slightly introverted.

When asked what keeps her motivated, Jackie says that her family keeps her going on a daily basis. “Without my awesome beloved husband and lovely daughter I would definitely have a hard time getting motivated in the morning. I also see life as a gift to be celebrated everyday, even the bad times can turn to good.”

Jackie has aspirations to hike the El Camino de Santiago, Pacific Crest Trail, and horse back ride the Continental Divide Trail. While we would be sad to say “happy trails” to Jackie, we have to admit those sound like a great adventures. Thanks for all that you do Jackie!
